Nothing short of an amazing project. This highly modern, almost futuristic office setting harbors in a monumental church in the city of Eindhoven. Combinatie Jeugdzorg (Child Protective Services) operates from this building in which the services of several care professionals come together. Interior architect Misha Breuer of studio BREUER signed the paperwork for this striking project.
The Van Ars church was built in 1929 and currently leads by example in the field of reallocating religious heritage. In the church, a ‘peg’ of four layers will be positioned in which a kitchen meeting rooms and offices for the staff of Combinatie Jeugdzorg will be placed.
The first floor will serve as restaurant and conference room. Adolescents can attend training in engineering, catering and care. The former vicarage will house a community care point with family doctor and dentist. Also, the building stores spaces suitable for several activities such as gym, theater, technology and a garden.
Combinatie Jeugdzorg professionally helps children and their parents with parenting-related problems. Help is being offered through support, counseling, training and treatment.
