The new headquarters of the Zuidelijke Land- en Tuinbouworganisatie (ZLTO) is a club house where employees and visitors alike feel right at home. The building, designed by architecten Cie., brings a contemporary look and feel to ZLTO, reminiscent of wheat waving in the wind and barns. At the same time, it is a state-of-the-art representative office building: an embassy for agriculture. The office building connects two agricultural schools on the corner of the Onderwijsboulevard and the western beltway of Den Bosch, changing this area into a food and health campus.
aarts & co took care of the entire interior and, together with the client, changed the building into a decisive meeting place for the whole agricultural industry.
The compact volume offers high flexibility with a variety of column-free office depths. By placing broad spaces with stairways at the facade, visual contact between all floors arises, acting as informal meeting spaces. Together with the bent vertical window strips, the expressive wooden roof construction gives the building its character.
ZLTO is a society for entrepreneurs in the green area. In Noord-Brabant, Zeeland and Zuid-Gelderland ZLTO represents 15.000 members, who are supported in obtaining a sustainable position in market and society.
